This Texas renovation project consisted of 161 one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom units spread throughout 16 buildings. Two of the existing buildings housed laundry, maintenance, office spaces, and a multipurpose classroom. Site improvements included repairing or replacing fences, adding accessible parking spaces, constructing two new covered bus stops, and addressing existing drainage issues on the property. Interior renovations consisted of refreshing the units and ensuring the property met applicable accessibility codes.
Upon taking over as Project Manager, I was responsible for overseeing the construction phase and submitting drawings for building permit review with the City of San Antonio and Harris County to obtain additional funding. My construction administration responsibilities included responding to RFIs, creating ASIs, reviewing submittals, producing field reports, performing site visits, and facilitating the closeout process.
